Stop Congressman Gephardt from Giving Thousands of High-tech Jobs to Foreign Workers.

Urgent! American Jobs Are In Peril!

Enough is enough. As citizens, we've sat idly by for several years while politicians have shown favoritism to foreign workers over Americans. But we have to draw the line somewhere. And the place to draw the line is with the newest foreign worker law they are trying to quietly push through Congress. You probably have trouble believing that the people we elect to Congress would give preference to foreign workers over Americans. But Congressman Gephardt is about to do just that.

New H-1B Legislation Is Designed Specifically To Give High-Tech Foreign Workers The Advantage Over American Workers.

The basic principle of H-1B is very simple. It increases the number of high-tech workers allowed into the U.S. That's a big problem because there aren't that many high-tech jobs available in the first place. These foreign workers can be hired for one-third to one-half less than Americans. So, greedy corporations are bribing Congress with campaign contributions to pass the law as quickly as possible before you have time to do anything about it.

Why Dick Gephardt Needs to Hear from You.

  • In 1998, he voted to double the number of foreign high-tech workers
  • Opposed a law in 1996 requiring employers to verify if the people they hire have a legal right to work in this country
  • Co-sponsored a law giving amnesty to over 600,000 illegal aliens from Latin America
  • Pushed legislation in 1990 to dramatically increase all categories of immigrants coming to the U.S.
  • Voted in 1996 to continue chain migration, the primary reason immigration has swollen from 300,000 to over 1,000,000 a year

You do the math.

High-tech Jobs Created Each Year 130,000*
High-tech Graduates Per Year 160,000*
Excess Before Foreign Workers (30,000)
New Foreign High-tech Workers From Proposed H-1B Law 270,000***
Excess High-tech Workers/Year (300,000)

Ask Congressman Gephardt How He'd Feel If You Gave His Job To A Foreign Worker.

You have the power to give the advantage back to high-tech American workers. But you have to act and you must act fast. This new law is already under consideration in the House and the Senate. Call Congressman Gephardt at the toll free number below. Let him know exactly how you feel about this most recent insult to the American worker. Ask him how he would feel if you gave his job to a foreign worker. Or at least to someone who represents the best interests of the American people.

SAVE AMERICAN JOBS.
CALL CONGRESSMAN GEPHARDT AT 1-888-306-7333.
